Settled in 1849 as an army outpost on the Trinity River, Fort Worth is now the 2nd fastest growing city in the US.

The Dallas area is home to 24 Fortune 500 companies, including AT&T, HF Sinclair, Southwest Airlines, Texas Instruments, and others.

Stockyards National Historic District features Fort Worth’s western heritage, including the world’s only twice-daily cattle drive and a year-round rodeo.

The integrated circuit computer chip (which became the microchip) was invented in Dallas in 1958 by Jack Kilby, an engineer at Texas Instruments.

The Fort Worth Stockyards house the world’s largest honky-tonk, Billy Bob’s Texas.

The world’s first convenience store, 7-Eleven, opened in 1927 in Dallas. The corporation is still headquartered here today.

Opening in 1909, the Fort Worth Zoo is now top rated. It was ranked the No. 2 zoo in the nation by USA Today in 2021.

The State Fair of Texas, held annually in Dallas, is one of the largest and oldest state fairs in the country.

Dallas Cowboys Stadium, also known as AT&T Stadium, located in nearby Arlington, is one of the largest domed stadiums in the world and hosts various events, including concerts and sports games.

Its convenient location makes it easy to travel to many Dallas businesses, attractions, and academic centers – including Southern Methodist University with the George W. Bush Presidential Library and Museum, downtown Dallas, the Dallas Arts District, the notable Sixth Floor Museum, and NorthPark Center, the largest shopping mall in North Texas. Each hotel room is equipped with a full kitchen. There is a grocery store (Tom Thumb) within walking distance of the hotel.
