“JWAC has opened my eyes to the many possibilities and needs present in our ever-globalizing world. The Junior World Affairs Council has undoubtedly cemented my desire to understand more intrinsically the mechanisms that govern our world; both on a domestic and international level. Thanks for setting in motion the ideas for careers within these areas of government and international affairs; it has greatly helped me navigate these often-murky waters!”

– Hudson Thomas, 20 Under 20 Class of 2022

The Global Young Leaders program is facilitated through free clubs on high school campuses called Junior World Affairs Councils (JWACs), which are available to public, private, charter, and home school students. The ten most active clubs are awarded our Top Ten JWAC distinction each May. The club earns a certificate and gift card, is honored at the End of the Year Awards Ceremony, and has the option to lead a JWAC Discussion of their choosing the following year.
