HONOREE – Clark Hunt
Clark Hunt is Chairman and CEO of the Kansas City Chiefs of the National Football League and FC Dallas of Major League Soccer.
Hunt has been the guiding force behind the resurgence of the Chiefs, transforming the franchise into one of the most successful teams in the NFL over the last decade. The Chiefs are reigning back-to-back Super Bowl Champions, and have won the Lombardi Trophy in three of the last five seasons.
Hunt has hoisted the award that bears his father’s name – the Lamar Hunt Trophy – four times in the past five years, as the club claimed the AFC championship and earned Super Bowl appearances following the 2019, 2020, 2022, and 2023 seasons. Kansas City has also won eight consecutive AFC West Division titles, and is now one of just seven NFL franchises to hold at least four Super Bowl titles (IV, LIV, LVII, LVIII).
Hunt is a leading voice among NFL and MLS owners. He is chairman of the NFL Finance Committee, and has helped steer the league’s international marketing efforts. In the MLS, Hunt is a member of the Board of Governors, and chairs the Product Strategy Committee. He and his family were instrumental in bringing the 2026 FIFA World Cup to North America, and Hunt served as co-chair of the successful bid to host World Cup matches in Kansas City.
A Dallas native, Hunt graduated first in his class at Southern Methodist University in 1987, where he was a four-year letterman and a captain of the Mustangs nationally ranked soccer team. Hunt has served as a member of the SMU Board of Trustees since 2008, and he was the recipient of SMU’s Distinguished Alumni Award in 2020. Hunt graduated from the St. Mark’s School of Texas in 1983 and served as president of the St. Mark’s Board of Trustees from 2018-2020. He was inducted into the Dallas Business Hall of Fame in 2022.
Hunt and his wife Tavia reside in Dallas with their three children: Gracie, Knobel, and Ava.

Named in honor of the Council’s founder, the H. Neil Mallon Award is presented annually to individuals who have excelled at promoting the international focus of North Texas. Funds raised from this event support the Council’s public and education programming, international exchanges, and diplomatic services.

The evening will feature a keynote discussion with Emmy-winning renowned sports commentator Mike Tirico.
