Business Development Coordinator, City of Dallas

Gabriela serves as a Business Development Coordinator with the City of Dallas, bringing over two years of experience in economic development, and more than five years in local government. She recently achieved certification as an Economic Development Finance Professional. In her current role, Gabriela supports the Office of Economic Development, an Accredited Economic Development Organization, by assisting with qualified projects seeking to expand and relocate to Dallas. Passionate about equitable economic development, Gabriela is dedicated to addressing disparities in economic opportunities and outcomes for historically disadvantaged communities through policy, public investment, and partnerships. Her commitment to collaboration and accountability guides her work. Born in El Salvador, and raised in Dallas, Gabriela graduated from WW Samuel High School. She attended Texas A&M University, earning a bachelor’s degree in Political Science, she also holds a master’s degree in International Relations from the University of Essex. With a diverse background in economic development, executive assistance, and community outreach, Gabriela is excited about continuing to support the success of the Dallas region.
