John M. Ward

John M. Ward is a retired vice president of corporate strategy and business development at Lockheed Martin, where he led global business development efforts, policy, and training. From 2003–2010, he oversaw international business development for the Missiles and Fire Control division, generating $2B annually. He previously managed and directed Fire Control and Sensors programs, securing key competitive wins.

Before joining Lockheed Martin in 1997, Ward served 28 years in the U.S. Army, commanding aviation units in Operations Desert Shield and Desert Storm and holding senior Pentagon roles. His awards include the Defense Superior Service Medal, Legion of Merit, Distinguished Flying Cross, and Bronze Star.

Ward holds degrees from Auburn University and Boston University, and is a graduate of the U.S. Army War College and National Defense University. He has served on several nonprofit boards in Dallas, including the World Affairs Council, the Dallas Chamber International Committee, and the Dallas Opera Board.
