Dr. Joe Harrington is the Superintendent of the Hurst-Euless-Bedford Independent School District. Dr. Harrington’s career in education spans 39 years during which he has served as an administrator, teacher and coach in Texas, Tennessee, and New York.

Dr. Harrington completed his doctorate in Educational Leadership from Nova Southeastern University in 2011. He holds a master’s degree in Educational Administration from the University of North Texas; a bachelor’s degree in Geology from Buffalo State College; and Superintendent, Principal, and Secondary Science Teacher certifications from the Texas Education Agency.

Dr. Harrington currently serves on the Board of Directors of multiple boards, including the American Heart Association of Tarrant County, The Northeast Leadership Forum, The HEB Chamber of Commerce, The HEB Education Foundation, and 6 Stones Mission Network. Dr. Harrington is also a member of the Mid-Cities Pacesetters Rotary Club. Dr. Harrington was recently named Superintendent of the Year by the American Heart Association and received the Bill Ridgway: Spirit of Enterprise Award from the HEB Chamber.

Dr. Harrington and his wife Jenny live in Euless and are members of Ash Lane Methodist Church. Dr. and Mrs. Harrington have two grown children and one grandchild.
