Jim Falk

President Emeritus

From 2001-2021, Jim Falk served as president and CEO of the World Affairs Council of Dallas/Fort Worth. Upon retiring in March 2021, he was honored with the title president emeritus.

Jim is the producer & host of The Forum which is broadcast weekly on KSFR-FM, steaming worldwide at KSFR.org; he also hosts the podcast WorldNow with Jim Falk. Prior programs are available on Apple podcasts or at KSFR.

Jim currently serves as Vice Chairman of the Board of Global Santa Fe, and is a member of the advisory boards for The Asia Society (Texas Center) and the U.S. Global Leadership Coalition. Jim is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations.

Throughout his career, Jim has interviewed a wide array of prominent figures in politics, literature, and diplomacy including James Baker, Condoleezza Rice, Madeleine Albright, Michael Pompeo, John Kerry, Leon Panetta, David Petraeus, Susan Glasser, Peter Baker, William Barr, Richard Haass, and Michael Lewis. Recognized as a talented interviewer, he is frequently invited by corporations, foundations, and global organizations to moderate conversations on international relations and public policy.

Jim is a graduate of Washington and Lee University and earned his MA in Foreign Affairs from the University of Virginia. Jim’s interest in international affairs and the Middle East grew from living for four years in Tunis, Tunisia where he attended a French lycée.

Since 2021, Jim and his wife Terrell have lived in Santa Fe, New Mexico.
