Chris Bhatti is Assistant Vice President, Associate Dean, and Adjunct Faculty at The University of Texas at Dallas. In his multiple roles at UT Dallas, Chris is responsible for leading development, alumni relations, corporate relations, and external relations efforts across the schools and centers. In his role as a faculty member, Chris teaches in the Institute for Innovation & Entrepreneurship. Chris has extensive experience in university settings previously serving as the Director of External Relations at SMU’s Simmons School of Education. Prior to SMU, Chris was Faculty at The Hockaday School where he taught science and received the Ellen Higginbotham Award for Teaching Excellence.
Chris is involved in his community. He currently serves on the Board of Trustees for the Dallas Education Foundation and the DFW World Affairs Council. In addition, he serves on an Advisory Board at the George W. Bush Presidential Center’s Club 43. Chris is a Leadership Dallas Alum, Leadership North Texas Alum, member of the Dallas Assembly, and an alumnus from the Presidential Leadership Scholars Program. Chris is an investor in a myriad of companies and industries having over 30 partnerships through his personal family investments. He is also on the Board of Directors for Capital Factory, a venture capital firm based out of Austin, TX.
Chris holds a Bachelor of Arts from Southern Methodist University, a Master of Arts from The University of Texas at Dallas, and a Master of Business Administration from Southern Methodist University.
