Jennie Nance joined the Council in July 2025. A native of Atlanta, Georgia, Jennie fell in love with Texas during her years at SMU. Her background spans marketing, policy and politics. She started her career in Washington D.C., following that with tenures at American Express and The Coca-Cola Company. While at Coca-Cola, Jennie worked in global marketing on the portfolio of Coke brands and with international partners such as FIFA and the Olympics. Recently, she has focused on national grassroots initiatives to advocate for women’s rights. Jennie holds a BA in Communications from SMU and an MBA from Georgia State University. Her greatest joys are her two college-age daughters, her rescue pup, and her beloved SMU Mustangs. In her spare time, she volunteers and serves on boards at SMU, her church and various community organizations. She is an avid traveler who has visited all 50 states, 40 countries – including the former Soviet Union – and hopes to eventually get to all seven continents. Jennie’s been known to run long distances for fun and has completed five marathons thus far.
